The Blessed Month

Welcome to Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the holiest month for Muslims worldwide. It is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. During this blessed month, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn until sunset, focusing on spiritual growth and drawing closer to Allah.

At Masjid Al-Islam, Ramadan is a special time. We come together as a community every evening to break our fast with Iftar, pray Taraweeh together, and complete the recitation of the entire Quran by the end of the month. We welcome everyone — members, visitors, and neighbors — to join us.

"The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was revealed as a guidance for mankind, with clear proofs of guidance and the criterion."

— Quran 2:185

Sponsor an Iftar

Feed the fasting and earn immense reward this Ramadan

Every day during Ramadan, we serve Iftar to the entire community at Masjid Al-Islam. You have the opportunity to sponsor an Iftar for an entire evening — providing food for dozens of fasting Muslims to break their fast.

"Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like his, without diminishing the reward of the fasting person in the slightest."

— Tirmidhi

This is a wonderful way to earn reward, honor a loved one, or give Sadaqah Jariyah. Sponsorships can be in the name of a family member, in memory of a loved one, or simply as an act of worship. To sponsor an Iftar, please reach out to Brother Imran.
