Mufti Ikram ul-Haq

Imam of Masjid Al-Islam & Founder of Fatwa Center of America

Mufti Ikram ul Haq memorized the Holy Quran at the age of eleven, completing it in just thirteen months. He then pursued advanced Islamic studies in Shariah at the Institute of Islamic Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan.

His formal education covered Arabic grammar, Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history. In 2002, he earned his Aalim degree from the Al Madania Institute in Buffalo, New York. In 2005, he completed his specialization and received his Mufti degree. He further advanced his academic journey by completing his PhD in 2008.

Mufti Ikram ul Haq is the founder and director of the Fatwa Center of America. He is a respected scholar, author, and community leader. Among his notable works are Rulings of Shariah for Issues of Muslims of the West and Companion of Hajj.

He serves as a keynote speaker at ICNA conventions and many international conferences. He regularly lectures at universities, participates in interfaith dialogue, and actively addresses contemporary issues facing Muslim communities in the West. His scholarship combines traditional Islamic learning with practical guidance for modern society.

Qualifications

Education & Achievements

Aalim Degree

Earned in 2002 from Al-Madania Institute, Buffalo, NY — specializing in Islamic sciences.

Mufti Degree

Achieved in 2005 — authorized to issue Islamic legal rulings (fatwas) on contemporary matters.

Hafiz ul-Quran

Memorized the entire Holy Quran at the age of 11 in just 13 months.
